My Set-Up

I purchased a 2011 Surly Long Haul Trucker in early April from Paradise Garage in the Short North. Over the past couple of months, it's quickly become my most prized possession. Firemen always say don't go back for your stuff if your house is on fire. I'd choose to perish with my bike if that was the case (joking, of course). 

Since April, I've also been slowly accruing the other supplies I need for my trip. All supplies together has run me around $800 with a few awesome birthday presents from friends/family constituting the rest. The white Ortlieb Backroller Classic panniers that you see in the picture are where everything is being stored. My tent, sleeping bag, clothes, food, tools, and a few other things all fit in there. I'll get a picture of all the supplies I'm taking a little closer to the departure date. For now, just let me gaze into your soul.
